"Yw Tho Fr Fr" (unofficially nicknamed 'Good Friday') is the second song on NYLA and a very strong contender for favorite song I've ever written.

While we were shooting this, my bro Mohamed and i had a conversation about what separates an artist from somebody who just makes stuff.

it isn't the usual pretentious yap about reaching a certain level of proficiency, or making a certain amount of money. Nor is it something so vague as just taking it really super serious.

Being an artist, in the most personal sense, is representing what truly exists in your head. It doesn't take crazy success or skill to do that, but it does take a tenacity that it only becomes harder to succeed with.

It may seem like a teensy discernment, but I hope I can use this idea as a creative compass going forward.

The junt features 4 songs and 2 bonus tacks revolving loosely around a pretty simple narrative: following (or NOT following) the golden rule.

Is it me, or is a lot of shit just made to be sold and not used?

This feels like an insane thing to say, but sometimes I feel like there's nothing that just works. I'm always having to turning something off and on again, or look up a bug fix or change some setting that inadvertedly broke something.

And it pisses me off cause stealing is like - illegal, y'know? If someone makes something and it doesn't work, the law says the designer still deserves my money. I just don't agree.

Anyway, fuck PayPal.
